Why did Jim DeMint keep all his wonderful knowledge to himself for the last 8 years? That doesn't seem so 'patriotic' to me.
Just passing by.Btw, your website have great content!

A little paranoid, are we?
Great ,Shelli!
As Walt Disney said: "The way get started is to quit talking and begin doing!"
Thank you.
Not paranoid at all. Just having fun with "in the tank" MSM & pondering over erratic behavior in general. C'mon, lighten up.
Sorry, just because you hadn't heard anything Sen. De Mint was saying, doesn't mean didn't happen. Does it fit agenda of overwhelming majority of media outlets to give platform to someone like Jim DeMint...obviously, no.
Sen. DeMint wrote a book called Why We Whisper. People come up to him all the time to say, "Keep saying what you're saying. Keep doing what you're doing." So some people have heard him.
I understand frustration with almost ALL politicians. Feel same way. There are a handful who really try to do right thing. Sen DeMint is one. Please check voting record.
I have 2 suggestions if I may
The Making of America: The Substance and Meaning of the Constitution by W. Cleon Skousen
The most complete book written on the substance and meaning of the U.S. Constitution
AND
The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression by Amity Shlaes
How FDR's government intervention extended the Great Depression (sound familiar?)
Media Bias Is Real, Finds UCLA Political Scientist (Liberal UCLA!)
By Meg Sullivan

While the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal is conservative, the newspaper's news pages are liberal, even more liberal than The New York Times. The Drudge Report may have a right-wing reputation, but it leans left. Coverage by public television and radio is conservative compared to the rest of the mainstream media. Meanwhile, almost all major media outlets tilt to the left.
These are just a few of the surprising findings from a UCLA-led study, which is believed to be the first successful attempt at objectively quantifying bias in a range of media outlets and ranking them accordingly.
...
Of the 20 major media outlets studied, 18 scored left of center, with CBS' "Evening News," The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times ranking second, third and fourth most liberal behind the news pages of The Wall Street Journal.Only Fox News' "Special Report With Brit Hume" and The Washington Times scored right of the average U.S. voter....
Most of the outlets were less liberal than Lieberman but more liberal than former Sen. John Breaux, D-La.
Those media outlets included the Drudge Report, ABC's "World News Tonight," NBC's "Nightly News," USA Today, NBC's "Today Show," Time magazine, U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, NPR's "Morning Edition," CBS' "Early Show" and The Washington Post.
Another finding that contradicted conventional wisdom was that the Drudge Report was slightly left of center.
"One thing people should keep in mind is that our data for the Drudge Report was based almost entirely on the articles that the Drudge Report lists on other Web sites," said Groseclose. "Very little was based on the stories that Matt Drudge himself wrote. The fact that the Drudge Report appears left of center is merely a reflection of the overall bias of the media."
"A media person would have never done this study," said Groseclose, a UCLA political science professor, whose research and teaching focuses on the U.S. Congress. "

Surveys over the past 25 years have consistently found that journalists are much more
liberal than rest of America.
The Media Research Center http://www.mrc.org/biasbasics/pdf/BiasBasics.pdf has compiled the relevant data on journalist attitudes, as well as polling showing how the American public’s
recognition of the media’s liberal bias has grown over the years.
# Journalists Vote for Liberals: Between 1964 and 2004, Republicans won the White
House seven times compared with four Democratic victories. But if only journalists’ ballots
were counted, the Democrats would have won every time.
# Journalists Say They Are Liberal: Surveys from 1978 to 2005 show that journalists are
far more likely to say they are liberal than conservative, and are far more liberal than the
public at large.
# Journalists Reject Conservative Positions: None of the surveys have found that news
organizations are populated by independent thinkers who mix liberal and conservative
positions. Most journalists offer reflexively liberal answers to practically every question a
pollster can imagine.
# The Public Recognizes the Bias: Nearly nine out of ten Americans believe journalists
sometimes or often let their personal views influence the way they report the news, and
most say this bias helps liberals. Even a plurality of Democrats agree the press is liberal.
# Denials of Liberal Bias. Many journalists continue to deny the liberal bias that taints their profession.
# Admissions of Liberal Bias. A number of journalists have admitted that the majority of their brethren approach the news from a liberal angle.
What follows are key data from nearly two dozen surveys about media bias. For additional
information, including links to many of the surveys cited here, please visit www.MRC.org and

Nice list- I'd go with Jefferson #1 though. No doubt that Lincoln, Washington and Adams are stellar as well... FDR at #20? Some feel he should be higher... Nice list though.
